Trench coat is something that never goes out of style. It has a classic shape (I am so glad) that is flattering on almost every body type.Trench coat has been in style since the days of Audrey Hepburn and it’s the type of style that I love hitting city streets with.

I wanted to illustrate this look as we transition from summer to fall. We all know how temperamental Melbourne weather can be so I used this excuse to get myself a sleeveless Trench (#winning).

There is something chic about this stylish outwear that goes with just about anything in your closet. Here, I am sharing one of my most easiest look to style with a trench. (I am already thinking of writing another trench coat post with more looks, exciting!!!).

A classic beige trench comes with a range of styling options. I decided to pair it with a casual black denim, a graphic t-shirt (graphic t-shirts are my new found love) and a pair of incredibly comfortable heels.

Nothing beats the classic Beige trench but if it's not something you want, feel free to buy different colours ranging from navy to stone.

Pick the perfect layers of clothes that suit your style and you will never find it boring to repeat this outwear. Layering is something that has been in style for sometime and this outwear acts as a perfect addition.

Want to make it a little more edgy?- Instead of a T-shirt, wear a Cami and tie a neck scarf. Neck scarf gives your outfit a certain quirkiness that you will love.

What to do when it gets a little colder?- Add a sweater instead of T-shirt and wear your trench by tying a knot in the front. This way you keep the cold out and also emphasise your waist.

Don't want to emphasise your waist?- Choosing whether or not to nip your trench around the waist can also depend on your body shape. It you feel that it adds bulk to your waist then tie the belt loosely at the back and add shape instead of bulk.

Another look that is simple and easy for every body type is, the Cape look- Just drape your trench over your shoulders. Why?- Because it’s simple, fun and stylish.

Don't want to wear heels?- No problem!! Trench coat can easily be styled with a pair of sneakers or brogues. My only suggestion is- wear a longer trench coat when pairing it with flats for a relaxed look.

So, pop that collar and go find yourself that perfect trench.

Until we meet again!!
